Exhibitor profile

The Voith Group is a global technology company. With its broad portfolio of systems, products, services and digital applications, Voith sets standards in the markets of energy, oil & gas, paper, raw materials and transport & automotive. Founded in 1867, the company today has more than 19,000 employees, sales of € 4.2 billion and locations in over 60 countries worldwide and is thus one of the large family-owned companies in Europe.

The Group Division Voith Turbo is part of the Voith Group and a specialist for intelligent drive solutions, systems as well as comprehensive services. Customers from highly diverse industries such as oil and gas, energy, rail and commercial vehicles, ship technology, mining and mechanical engineering rely on the advanced technologies and solutions-driven expertise of Voith.

Pilotfish, the Swedish company, has recently joined the Voith Group. Pilotfish offers a vendor-independent vehicle communication platform, consisting of a cloud-based background system and a communication gateway housed inside the vehicle.

The goal is to enable operators, manufacturers / integrators or transport authorities / transport associations to have the greatest possible flexibility in the use of on-board IT devices from various manufacturers and their background systems. It unlocks vendor locks, simplify changes and additions and enable the coexistence of different technology providers within a fleet. Pilotfish has now equipped about 10,000 vehicles in Sweden, Germany, France, Norway and England with this technology. Including large fleet operators with more than 1000 buses.

The strength of the system lies in its great flexibility and manufacturer independence. The system is based on the approaches of ITxPT (itxpt.org) and IBIS-IP / VDV 301.
